Description Extended Information
Discover the Mayflower, a wooden model of this freighter of the XVII century. This ship transported 102 English separatists (now known as the Pilgrim Fathers) from Plymouth to the New World, making this journey iconic in the early American history. Guided by our detailed step by step instructions you can complete your model of this famous ship.
The Mayflower was a typical English merchant ship of the early XVII century. After two aborted attempts for having to return to port for repairs, the famous trip began on September 6 reaching the coast of Newfoundland in November. It was not until well into the winter when it managed to reach New England. On his return the Mayflower would be destroyed, building almost three centuries later a replica that can be visited as a museum ship in the port of Plymouth.
